I am active on this project and need Admin access. The test project has more than 50 pages. --SM7--talk-- 12:11, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

- Raaza, what do you want to do that requires Admin access? StevenJ81 (talk) 17:08, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- I need some of the controls authorized to test-admins in order to clean somethings which are not needed, and to move few other things here and there. Regards,☆★Raaza Upreti (✉✉) 02:25, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Autoconfirmed users can move pages around, and as for cleaning things, if you tag pages with
{{delete}}
, your test already has two test-admins to help deal with that. I think that given the issues you just dealt with recently, you will be better off waiting a little while to show people you want to contribute constructively. Try staying active here over 2–3 months and then try again. StevenJ81 (talk) 04:43, 30 December 2016 (UTC)- Not yet. StevenJ81 (talk) 05:58, 9 January 2017 (UTC)

The NoongarPedia has over 200 pages and besides me at least 8 other active named editors, plus IP editor contributions. I have the second highest number of edits. I'd like to be able to delete vandal pages, e.g. currently Wp/nys/History on time, Wp/nys/History on time 2, Wp/nys/Min Chinese, Wp/nys/Lebanese Arabic and Wp/nys/Lebanese Arabic (many), this is the second time this type of pages has appeared. Also to delete category pages which don't work, e.g. Category:Wp/nys/Articles with unsourced statements. Aarghdvaark (talk) 10:10, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

I would like to become an administrator for the Old Norse test wiki, I started recently editing this test wiki and Ithink it's great to create a wiki in the Old Norse language. Taking some more responsibility for this nice initiative would be a great honour to me. The test project has now 33 pages. --Gentenaar~nlwiki (talk) 17:23, 10 January 2017 (UTC)
- Not yet. Hi, Steve, and welcome to the Incubator. I see you're pretty experienced over at nlwiki, so you're not a "newbie" around here. And believe me, the last thing I want to do is discourage you here. So please! stay around and help contribute. But I'm afraid I'll have to give you a "not yet" on this, for a couple of reasons:
- We never assign test-administrators until projects have fifty pages.
- We'd like you around longer than two days before we hand you a mop. I'm sure you understand that.
- So I'll urge you: Stay here and contribute for another month or so. Help get the project's page count over 50. Then come back here, ideally with the support of other contributors in your test community. At that point we can consider giving you this user right. StevenJ81 (talk) 18:06, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I request for test administrator rights for the Hungarian Wikivoyage project. The project is growing now, and I need to correct things. I am the most active user on this project. --BanKris (talk) 18:31, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
- Not yet. BanKris, we're very glad to have you here and contributing. Please keep up the good work.
- That having been said, I know you're experienced around the Wikimedia projects. But your first edit here seems to have been just a couple of days ago, and the Wy/hu test project is only just about exactly 50 pages now, which is the minimum for a test-admin. So please keep contributing for another month or two and come back to us then. StevenJ81 (talk) 17:31, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I understand. And thank you for your answer. --BanKris (talk) 18:24, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
Dear sir, My admin rights are going to be expired on March 2017, Please renew my test adminship for Khowar Wikipedia, Regards --Raki 06:02, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- You are not an admin, but a test-admin. You can request that to be extended when March comes around. --MF-W {a, b} 18:16, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
- @MF-Warburg: Yes sir for Test Admin--Raki 15:00, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- (Moved from above)
- Not done Hi, Raki. I'm sure it will be ok to renew this when the time comes, but it's a little early. Your test-admin term expires March 9. So put a request here (in the test-admin section) about March 1, we'll give people the normal five days to react, and then we'll be able to renew your test adminship then. StevenJ81 (talk) 18:13, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Done Ok sir, Thanks --Raki 07:12, 31 January 2017 (UTC)
Hi, I would like to request test administrator rights for the Lingua Franca Nova project as I need to correct articles, delete the ones with wrong titles, etc. --Katxis (talk) 15:07, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
- Done Enough pages, and user has experience as a test-admin before and as an admin on other projects. (But I do wish you'd show your face on ladwiki from time to time.) StevenJ81 (talk) 19:17, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- Katxis, should I list you for Wb/jam also? StevenJ81 (talk) 20:39, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
- That's would be great if it is possible. I am on both Wb/jam and Wt/jam. Is it possible for me to have rights for those two? --Katxis (talk) 11:28, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- I don't see why not. I'll leave this open for five more days, to make sure anyone in those communities has a chance to see the request. Assuming no problems, I'm going to give you a slightly short term on those two and put all three projects on the same schedule. StevenJ81 (talk) 14:45, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- Done Marked for all three tests. All will expire 2018-01-30. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:39, 7 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I would like to request test administrator rights for the Bodo Wikipedia incubator project as I need to correct articles, delete the ones with wrong titles, etc. --Mr. Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 05:05, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Mr. Nijwmsa Boro: You have enough activity, and the test has enough pages. However, I am reluctant to support this request at the moment. In principle every Wikimedia project makes decisions independently from every other Wikimedia project. However, you have a long and substantial history of multiple account abuse, and are indefinitely blocked at English Wikipedia for that. I cannot and will not block you here because of a problem there. But making you a test administrator under those circumstances is too risky for the Bodo Wikipedia test and for the Incubator.
Let me suggest that you continue to compile a clean record of editing here. If you need to correct or move articles, you will be able to correct or move them with your current (autoconfirmed) rights. If you want pages deleted, tag them with{{delete}}
, give a good explanation (in English) why you want them deleted, and preferably include in your request the location of the new page. The administrators will be glad to help with that.
I will leave this open for any further comment for the usual five days. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:22, 2 February 2017 (UTC)- Moved subsequent question not directly concerning this RFTA to User talk:Mr. Nijwmsa Boro. StevenJ81 (talk) 16:22, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- I have marked some test article with delete template, but adminstration are not deleting pages . so, I need test admin rights to delete pages when I need. incubator administration are not deleting my project's pages. --Mr. Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 07:34, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Not done All deletion requests now complete. But you did not respond to a request for information, which is what delayed the request. In any case, once you have marked a page for deletion, don't worry about it any further; it will get deleted. StevenJ81 (talk) 12:52, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

- Angry? No. But I would ask you to be patient. Just because something takes a few days to be deleted doesn't mean you are being ignored. It just means there are other priorities at the moment. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:31, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Dear sir, my Test Adminship for Khowar Wikipedia Incubator project is going to be expired on 9th March 2017, The Khowar Wiki project has already been verified as eligible, I am affiliated with Wikimedia Incubator project as test admin, translator and linguist from Pakistan. I request you to kindly renew my test adminship for more two years for smooth running of Khowar wikipedia Incubator project--Rehmat Aziz Chitrali Linguist 15:10, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- On hold until March 2 (one week before expiration). Just to clarify:
- Test-admin status is always for one year.
- If this project is approved and moved into its own subdomain during the next year, your test-admin status will last only while the test is still in Incubator. After that, you will have to apply separately to be an administrator on the newly approved wiki. When the time comes, we'll let you know how to do that. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:17, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- Extended. For the record, this is for one year from the original date, so expiring 2018-03-09. In reality, your test project will be moved to its own subdomain later this year. Once the subdomain is established, you will have to seek administrator rights separately on the new project. I gave you some instructions for that on your user talk page. Thank you for your hard work in making Khowar Wikipedia a reality! StevenJ81 (talk) 22:08, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

I am hereby requesting test adminship/translatorship or anything else what gives me acces to the MediaWiki namespace on the WT OCS, so I can create MediaWiki pages, like Gadgets or simpel JavaScript and or delete them if they doesn't work. This will speed up the process of asking or waiting. -- Vēnī‧vīdī‧scrīpsī [DM] 20:58, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- Translatorship will allow you to edit the MW namespace, test-adminship allows deleting. However, I would prefer if you would first actually make requests for the things you propose to implement (what are they btw?). --MF-W {a, b} 14:34, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
- I've been working with him. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:10, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

- Hello, Adam-Yourist. I can! We'll just let this percolate for the standard five days for any comments from your community. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:51, 14 April 2017 (UTC)

- As there is no test admin assigned to Wt/dty yet, I would like to request for test administrator rights for Doteli Wiktionary project. --Nirajan pant (talk) 09:12, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
- Test is not big enough on its own; please keep trying to grow it. But since you're already test-admin on Wp/dty, I think we can open this for a five-day comment period, and then (providing no objections) approve you for a partial-year term to line up with your current term at Wp/dty. StevenJ81 (talk) 03:33, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Done Wt/dty added to your tests. Your term for both tests nominally ends 2018-02-16. Understand, though, that this test by itself is not large enough to have a continuing test-administrator, and Wp/dty is close to being exported to its own subdomain. So if Wt/dty does not have at least 50 mainspace articles (definitions) by February, I will not be able to renew your test-admin status at that time. Good luck. StevenJ81 (talk) 13:44, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
Hello. I'd like my test admin rights for the Bashkir Wiktionary to be renewed (I've been the test admin for Wt/ba a while ago, but had to temporarily leave the project. Now I'm back and ready to go on working for the project; my status might just as well come in handy in all the other Bashkir projects on Incubator (e.g. Wb/ba). --Comp1089 (talk) 17:22, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, there. Nice to see you back. Usually, I'd like to see you back a month before pushing this ahead, but given that you are a sysop and 'crat at ba:, I think we can dispense with that. We'll list this for the standard five days for comments, and if there are no objections we'll flag you. I'm going to ping User:Ләйсән, as Ләйсән is a test administrator for Wb/ba, and has a right to know you're coming. StevenJ81 (talk) 17:37, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Note to other 'crats: Wt/ba and Wb/ba are big enough to allow test admins (50+ mainspace pages). The other two are not, but can be permitted as secondary tests. StevenJ81 (talk) 17:43, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Done Expires 24 April 2018. Thanks for coming back. StevenJ81 (talk) 16:52, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi, there's no test admin for Wp/kha yet, so I'm making a request to make me one. --Tipshuh (talk) 09:26, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
- Not done Hi. Welcome, and good luck building out your test. We do not appoint test administrators until there are at least fifty mainspace articles in the test. Additionally, just at the moment, even if your test had fifty pages, we would want you to have been around a little longer and to have done a little more work here before giving you the tools. I'd venture that you should build the test up to fifty pages, then wait one additional month, then ask again. I will try to answer your question at I:CP a little later today. StevenJ81 (talk) 13:31, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
Hello! Would it be possible to add 2 editors to be test admin and help us on Wp/atj? The two users are User:Kinew1975 and User:Nehirowisiw. They have a good knowledge of Mediawiki software and admin tools. They would be able to give us a hand with admin tasks. Thank you in advance. Benoit Rochon (talk) 00:06, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Support There two users are influent members of the local community and active contributors to the project. It is important for us that they can take responsibility in their own encyclopedia. Seeris (talk) 00:09, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Support I agree, they are important participants on the project. --Kiackw (talk) 00:15, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Support I support this request as it is important to begin to have admins who speak the language as the project develops, if the two accept this task of course. Notice: Removal of test-administrator rights from test administrators of Wp/dty
This is just to inform the community that Doteli Wikipedia has now been created. Accordingly, test administrator status for the test administrators of that project will expire at 16:00, 14 May 2017 (UTC). If you have any questions, please contact me. StevenJ81 (talk) 16:05, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
- Done StevenJ81 (talk) 19:32, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
- Not sure what the relevant policy is, but I think that test administrator status should be removed immediately after all the pages have been moved to the new project. I don't really see the need for the rights to be kept longer than necessary, but I may be wrong here. --Hydriz (talk) 13:18, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
- Well, Hydriz, the policy is "when the test is moved over". I guess I felt it would be courteous to give people a couple of weeks to make sure that everything was done in a satisfactory fashion, and possibly to manage anything not otherwise imported (like User pages). The test wiki has not been deleted, and the test-admins still get the warning notices if they do certain actions outside the test. So I don't think it really does any harm. StevenJ81 (talk) 14:08, 4 May 2017 (UTC)
My test adminship in wt/arq expire this May. please renew it! I also request test adminship for Wp/aeb, Wp/arq and Wt/aeb. Thank you. --Csisc (talk) 10:01, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, Csisc, and thank you for your longstanding commitment to Incubator and your tests. I will leave this up for the standard five days of comment, and if there are no objections, I will renew Wt/arq, as well as adding Wp/aeb and Wt/aeb, for a one year term from the day of approval. (Note for 'crats: Wt/aeb does not have enough pages on its own, but the other tests do.)
- As far as Wp/arq goes, though, I'm going to ask you to do something else: Please go to the Community Portal for the test, if there is one, or to the Main Page talk of the test otherwise, and ask the community to comment directly. I'm asking you to do this because (a) I do not see that you have ever made any edits to this test, while (b) this test has a very active user community, including two test-admins. You're unquestionably an experienced and responsible Wikimedian, but I think the test community is entitled to weigh in. That said, if there are no objections from the test community, I will be happy to add Wp/arq as well. StevenJ81 (talk) 15:03, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Csisc: I'm more concerned about Wp/arq than about Wp/aeb. StevenJ81 (talk) 13:15, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- @StevenJ81: I will contact them using an email message about that. --Csisc (talk) 21:01, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- Reda Kerbouche, Bachounda, Oldstoneage: I ask if you are for or against my test adminship for Wp/arq. --Csisc (talk) 11:36, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Cisco:, @StevenJ81: : Dear Csisc, Hello, I'm not against that. Your help is welcome
- But you must know that the Algerians are different from those of the Tunisian and the Moroccan.
- If you need to work on arq projects, you must create only "Algerian dialect" pages.
- You agree that if you violate this policy, you will lose your privileges. --Bachounda (talk) 09:35, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Csisc: I'm more concerned about Wp/arq than about Wp/aeb. StevenJ81 (talk) 13:15, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Bachounda:, @StevenJ81: Of course, I will contribute to Wp/arq using Algerian. Furthermore, as Wp/arq need to use unique writing guidelines for Algerian, I will use this one.
- Of course, if you have create writing guidelines for writing Algerian. I will use it. --Csisc (talk) 13:24, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- ok i agree --Bachounda (talk) 13:45, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- Algerian Arabic isn't a single dialect. "Algerian Arabic" is a name applied to the Maghrebi dialect continuum spoken across Algeria. There is no linguistic dividing line between Tunisian and Algerian Arabic from the east or Moroccan and Algerian Arabic from the east. I suggest encouraging the use of common words and expressions rather than supressing one dialect, creating a new form of diglossia. --عimad (talk) 13:58, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- Before we go too much further down this path on this page, may I suggest the following:
- To the extent that other members of the Wp/arq test community are telling User:Csisc that there are rules Csisc needs to follow when contributing to that test—and that Csisc's acceptance of test-admin status on Wp/arq depends on agreeing to those rules—the discussion can continue here.
- To the extent that User:GeekEmad wants to encourage the Wp/arq test community to construe "Algerian Arabic" more broadly, that discussion should either go to I:Community Portal or to Talk:Wp/arq/الپاجة اللولانيّة (or the talk page of the test's community portal, if there is one). StevenJ81 (talk) 20:49, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
- StevenJ81, Bachounda, GeekEmad:
- If I applied for test adminship for Wp/arq, I agree to adopt the rules that are used in editing Wikipedia Algerian. However, we need to define them first. I propose to write a paper about how to write Algerian in Wikipedia and Wiktionary Algerian.
- As for the vocabulary to be used in Wikipedia Algerian, this is an idea that was discussed in WikiConvention Francophone 2016 (Held in Paris from 18 to 21 August 2016). The idea is to use a common Maghrebi vocabulary (Algerian vocabulary that exists in Tunisian and Moroccan dialects) so that Wikipedia Algerian can be intelligible for Tunisian and Moroccan users and consequently, Algerian and Moroccan communities can contribute to Wikipedia Algerian instead of creating Wikipedia Tunisian and Wikipedia Moroccan. The morphology used will remain the one of Algerian. We called the idea "Standard Maghrebi" or "Functional Algerian". --Csisc (talk) 08:28, 11 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi,
I've been around on wy/ko since mid-2013 and was one of the most active participant there. While I know ko.voy is really small and kinda inactive, I'd benefit from having test-admin by doing some protections and deletions on behalf of Korean-speaking user by Korean-speaking user, rahter than trying to convince admins using English, which most of the users are not comfortable. I've been admin on Wikidata since Nov 2013 and Korean Wikipedia since Oct 2014, so I already know what admins can do/cannot do and I'm aware of Incubator test-admin policy. Thanks.

Hello, I would like to become test-admin again, but this time for Wp/moe. Wikimedia Canada is running a pedagogic project with Innu community, for the next year and maybe more. It would be useful to have admin tools for maintenance, but also create accounts for teachers and students since there's a limitation of 6 accounts per IP address / per 24 hours. I'm sysop on Wikipedia-fr and on Commons for many years, and I was for Wp/atj, so I know how to use admin tools. Sooner or later, Innu community will elect their own admins, but until then, there's management that have to be done. Best regards, Benoit Rochon (talk) 18:45, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Reminder to all that Benoit is President of Wikimedia Canada and was instrumental in having Wp/atj up and working so quickly.

Normally, we do not give this user right to contributors who are brand new here because of the damage that can be done through inappropriate use of administrator tools, even accidentally and in good faith. We would like to see you here for a month or two, showing sustained contributions to the test, before considering granting that right. Please check in again in 4–6 weeks. - I would add: I do not see how you can create an Ishkashimi Wikipedia, given that the language does not have a writing system. If that is wrong, please respond to my question at User talk:Komi3645. StevenJ81 (talk) 20:11, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
I am one and only active user on this project and I can speak read and write the language, that's why I need Admin access to make many more changes in this project. The test project has more than 68 pages. Khan (talk)
- This is a borderline case. On the one hand, you've only really been here seriously now for about a week. (You had a few edits earlier than that, but you've only been working hard on this test for a week.)
- There are some things that work differently on Incubator than on other projects, and I'd really like to feel confident that you understand them. Please read, especially, I:PREFIX. I'd like you to read that section, then come back here and acknowledge that you understand it.
- That having been said, it doesn't appear that others are active on the project. You have been serving as an administrator at Pashto Wikipedia, so you have some experience with the administrator tools.
- Remember, too, that test-administratorship works a little differently from administratorship on an independent project. Please review the differences up above on this page.
- So I'm going to let the "pretty new here" get balanced by "administrator on another project", and your request can stay open here—though I do want you to look at I:PREFIX, please. Standard procedure, at this point, is for the request to be open for five days, to give people a chance to comment. So comments are now open, until 19:53, 11 September 2017 (UTC). Before the completion of Saraiki project, Test Administrators are Necessary for this project who can take control and review the project, words or topics in that language. Being a Native speaker of Saraiki I request to be a test-administrator of Saraiki wiki. I am also working on other independent projects but I understand that Incubator works differently and I know how it works. I have read I:PREFIX completely & I acknowledge that I understood it. — محمد جنید حفیظ کھوسہ (talk) 12:07, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
- Not yet. On behalf of the Incubator team, we greatly appreciate your willingness to volunteer, and hope you will continue to be active. For the time being, I am not going to approve your request, because you have been here a very short time.
- The difference between this case and the one above is that the other user has actually been an administrator on other Wikimedia projects, but just didn't have very much experience here on Incubator. So in that user's case I am potentially willing to give the rights here, even though that user has not been around here very long, because of his great experience elsewhere.
- In your case, you appear to have very little experience on Wikimedia projects at all. Normally, we do not give administrator rights (even test-administrator rights) to people who have only been here a short time with relatively few edits. I was turned down myself the first time I asked for that exact reason. If you remain active on your tests for another 4–6 weeks—to about the end of October—and ask again, I am much more likely to say "yes" at that time. Thank you in advance for your understanding and for your continued participation here. StevenJ81 (talk) 14:50, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

- @StevenJ81: I've been away for a while because of my physical constraint and illness for a longer period. Most of the articles of this Angika Wikipedia have been written/translated by me. Angika Wikipedia was started with my translated angika article. I have translated most of the portion of the MediaWiki in to Angika. I have also been engaged in translating various wikimeidia projects - Wiktionary · Wikibooks · Wikinews · Wikiquote · Wikivoyage at translatewiki.net for Angika and Hindi languages. I am in the process of community building in order to get the Angika Wikipedia in to Mainstream Wikipedia. I am trying to build up a team of few persons to ensure that it remains in active mode. Currently, we have one administrator and I would like to support him in his work, as the Coptic section has been growing in the last months and there is more stuff to do. I would like to run for an administrator at the Montenegrin Incubator. I am thinking that with administrative powers I will be able to help the project more than I can now. The administrator function, of course, needs technical permission: deleting pages, restoring pages, locking pages, blocking vandals, etc. I think I'm one of the more active users here. пеливан (talk) 10:54, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- Not done Test is not big enough (50+ pages). More important, you have not been around long enough and do not have enough experience here for the admin tools. Ask again about 4-6 weeks from now. StevenJ81 (talk) 13:24, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
