The main page is not created here: Wp/brx (it is just a portal so it is never to be deleted), instead the main page is to be found Here. You can translate that page into the Bodo language. --Philip J (talk) 07:28, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
I am back online now.
If you want to create a new Main Page, what is the Bodo Translation of the word "Main Page"? --Philip J (talk) 07:56, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Are you intending to create the Main Page using the Devanagari script or the Latin alphabet? --Philip J (talk) 07:57, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Are you online? --Philip J (talk) 08:11, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your translation of the name "Main Page". Since you want your Username to be the first one to create the Main page, I suggest you go Here and enter "गाहाइ बिलाइ" after the prefix "Wp/brx/", so you can create the page titled Wp/brx/गाहाइ बिलाइ
Then click the "Create Page" button and add in the Bodo content.
I will let you create the page yourself. --Philip J (talk) 08:21, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, keep going. You can translate the rest of this page into the Bodo language. --Philip J (talk) 08:56, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
After you have translated the Main page, you can start creating new Bodo articles (the more, the better). Try not to create only 1 sentence stubs. They should be at a minimum of between 2-5 sentences or more. I will need to go offline now but you can still ask others for help if you need to. --Philip J (talk) 09:08, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
The process of template creation is doable but extremely time consuming and error-prone. I recommend that you create the articles first, then create the templates later. --Philip J (talk) 09:32, 5 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Administrator rights after test approval

edit

Moved from I:RFTA.
If the project approved, then what will happen ?, because project has only one contributor and it's me. if the project approved , then I will need to manage the project. can I be administration after approving the project. --Mr. Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 16:05, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

So you need to understand a few more rules here:
  1. Among other requirements, a project will not be approved by the Language Committee unless there is "an active test project". The Language Committee defines that as an active group of contributors over an extended period of time—at minimum, 3–5 contributors over a period of at least 3–6 months, and remaining active through the period of the request for approval. As things stand right now, your project has one contributor—you—and will not be approved.
    • I must warn you: Given that you have a history of sockpuppetry, the Language Committee will do a CheckUser on the contributors to this project to make sure they are not all alternate accounts of you. If that seems unfair to you, I'm sorry, but you have "made your bed, and now must lie in it".
  2. Even if you were approved as a test administrator here, you would be an administrator only as long as the test is on Incubator. If the test were approved and moved to a subdomain, you'd have to start over and request administrator rights on the approved project itself. In early stages of projects, that means making a request of the Stewards on Meta. But that's a completely separate process, and has nothing to do with what happens on Incubator.
If this test evolves in such a way that you remain the only important contributor, the test might stay on Incubator indefinitely. Alternatively, you could choose to move it to Incubator Plus on Wikia. The rules are less strict there, and you can manage your project the way you want. However, if you do that, your project would never turn into a true Wikipedia project here.
I hope this information helped. StevenJ81 (talk) 16:42, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

OK, I have no way. I think that this test wiki will be only dream after reading your rule ! --Mr. Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 16:49, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

I truly do not want to discourage you from working on the Bodo Wikipedia. I'd like to see it become reality. But the Wikimedia Foundation's rules are very clear about this: It supports community projects, not individuals' projects. If you can recruit others to participate with you, then I think you have a good chance to succeed. But if it's going to be only you, then it will really only be a dream. StevenJ81 (talk) 17:29, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
I should add: I just checked, and the Language Committee designated the Bodo Wikipedia as "Verified as eligible". (See m:Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Bodo.) That means that you can continue working on the test project here on Incubator, and the test project can probably continue to live here on Incubator forever, even if it's only you working.
We always prefer to try to help projects move from Incubator to their own subdomains. But a project on Incubator is the same as a project in its own subdomain in most ways, except for its ability to use Wikidata, and we're working to improve that. So my strong advice to you is to keep working, keep making Bodo Wikipedia the best that it can be, and don't worry for now about having it approved into its own domain. If you work hard at this, perhaps other Bodo speakers will come join you, and then the project can be approved. StevenJ81 (talk) 17:40, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for advice. OK, I agreed your advice and from today I will keep working on, will never worry for approved, thanks --Mr. Nijwmsa Boro (talk) 17:52, 2 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Deletions

Hi,

please ensure first, that no page links to the Template:Wp/brx/Infobox which you marked for deletion, otherwise it can not be speedy deleted.

Thank you.

Autonym of the Bodo language

Hello. We were wondering about how the Bodo language is called in Bodo. Maybe you can help us to clear up the confusion described in mailarchive:langcom/2017-March/001204.html (you can reply here, I'll transmit your answer). --MF-W {a, b} 15:58, 4 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
