Your software blocks the creation of the pages Wp/qu-ec and Wp/qu-ec/Kapak panka as well as Wp/qu_EC and Wp/qu_EC/Kapak panka for a new Wikipedia project in Kichwa. Please look at Incubator:Requests for starting a test#Kichwa Wikipedia for further discussion. How can the problem be resolved? Why should we be totally dependent on the language policy of SIL International, who don't want to recognise a code for Unified Kichwa, which is used officially by the Ecuadorian government? -- AlimanRuna 21:50, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have created these pages for the languages that have had a translated version of Incubator:Wikis (German, Dutch, Hungarian and French), however they are seemingly not working when clicking on the sidebar, all of them defaults back to English. Any idea? - Xbspiro 21:17, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Same as User_talk:SPQRobin#Manual: That is because only 'sidebar-mainpage-url', 'sidebar-help-url', 'sidebar-sitesupport-url' take the translated message. I will ask the developers to change it, later. SPQRobin 21:46, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kirmanjki wikipedia

Hello, i talked to an administrator of WM Incubator Hydriz (btw thx Hydriz) and I showed him abuse on Kirmanjki wikipedia. I wanted to share with you all. There is some user who try to use an alphabet of turkish influence for Kirmanjki wikipedia. But , if you look at you can see real alphabet of Kirmanjki. That website belongs to Kirmanj authors and linguists as Malmisanij, Munzur Çem, Roşan Lezgîn and others.. The vandal user (user:Mirzali) has a turkish influence in his mind, thats why he try to apply that to all Kirmanj people. Btw, He is also admin at Zazaki Wikipedia and actually, he is only user at ( Zazaki wikipedia now. Because , he just block users who want to write articles in original zazaki alphabet. Isnt this tyranny? Zaza linguists have an alphabet and Lord Mirzali has his own turkic aplhabet. I think, Administrators of Wikimedia should make a wikipedia for him (!) , maybe after that he will stop to vandalize Zazaki and Kirmanjki wikipedias. I want admins of WM incubator be aware of his vandalism. Btw , i want to know the rules of blocking users in Wikimedia projects. Because , this user has blocked me in Zazaki wikipedia without any reason. Zazaki wikipedia belongs to him? Is it his kingdom? I really want answers from Admin friends. Thanks. --Gomada 18:00, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For anyone's information, I see you reported it on meta:Requests for comment/Abuse on Zazaki Wikipedia as well. There have been other reports and conflicts in the past: meta:Requests for comment/Sysop abuse on Zazaki Wikipedia and meta:Requests for comment/Zazaki wikipedia. SPQRobin 18:59, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes , and i read your comment there. You have understood that, the guy (Mirzali) makes zaza/kirmanj people to leave wikipedia. Isnt this bad for such international and free project? --Gomada 20:00, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop this Kurdish nationalist rassist like Gomada. Zazas are not Kurds, and thus is Zazaki also not a Kurdish language. He changes the articles with the Kurdish alphabet. It destroys the whole project and robs us of precious time. He is not entitled to do so. He leads the people astray with his polemical statement. He is himself a Kurd, and speaks not a word Zazaki. His slander against me is just a bad notice, nothing more. I'm one of the administrators of the mentioned project. And Hyriz abuses his position and thereby helps Gomada, to mess up the project. These two don't have the right to do this. This is vandalism. Please stop the two. Sincerely! --Mirzali 06:06, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Before crying here, answer the questions? Why are you the ONLY user in Zazaki and Kirmanjki wikis? Because you block people in zazaki wikipedia to write articles in real zazaki alphabet? Do you know more than zaza lingiusts and authors as Malmisanij, Munzur Çem , Roşan Lezgîn etc.? Its clear that, you act as a tyrant and you want to create your own wiki. Of course , i will not let you to do that. I will protect this language.--Gomada 10:48, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
İ am agree with Mirzali. The Gomada,s only activity is edit warring. Please see here. --N KOziTalk 11:01, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, you will be agree with him, because you are turkish and he did beg to you for help. (: I will not let turkic mind to demolish this language.--Gomada 11:24, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have blocked Mirzali (talk | contribs) on the base of misusing the deletion template and vandalism in general. It will be for 3 days. It's only 3 days to get the user to know what he did wrong and you agree that what he wasn't as bad as Newyorkmets2000. Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 12:13, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another suggestion: Ban the two from making edits relating to the wiki in dispute, widely construed, and an interaction ban (directly and indirectly). The two bans will be for no less than 1 year, and when done, the two will remain until determined that they are able to work collaborativly. This should be a global ban, and will be posted on meta:. Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 12:40, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not block people happily. Blocking in this case does not help either people, as this issue needs to be traced to the institutions in charge of the two languages we are speaking about here. We would/might need to talk to everyone in the Wikimedia community to talk about this as this is a rather serious issue. --Hydriz 12:56, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see that the deletion category has a backlog of pages from Wp/kiu. Ignore those requests before resolving this issue? --Hydriz 13:00, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, we need to talk to people as much as possible. I want you to check zazaki wikipedia too. This is a free project. But when you check zazaki wikipedia, you will see that Mirzali has turned it to his kingdom. I will give you a simple example. I have been blocked by him there. I want to know the reason. He can block people without any reason? You can look at my only contributions in zazaki wikipedia. He wants to do same to kirmanjki (wp/kiu). He didnt let many zazas to contribute in original zazaki/kirmanjki alphabet. Thats why , there is no more people in zazaki wikipedia now. He is the only user. He should be happy there because nobody can say anything to him. You can look at this link You will see zaza/kirmanj linguists and their alphabet. but Lord Mirzali(!) with his turkic mind , he doesnt wanna accept them. Are you linguist Mirzali? Show us your documents, how many international articles you have about this language. If you dont have any , how can you decide instead of all kirmanj people? How can you treat as Kirmanj linguists are nothing? I really want answers.--Gomada 13:28, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I unblocked a couple minutes after when I realized that there was a dispute of those 2 users. Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 15:04, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting, i waited for admins to do something but none of them cares this problem and Mirzali keeps to create his new tyranny(!) Will you really let him to do same as he did to Zazaki wikipedia?--Gomada 11:45, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wikimedia is to build wikipedias, wikinewses and more. It's a cooperative place and I'm inclined to restrict the two from editing the wiki in dispute until you settle this. Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 19:32, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I want to make it clear. Who are the two? Can you answer please? --Gomada 21:45, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You and Mirzali. Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 20:11, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously? is this price of reporting abuse? Never mind, if you really believe that, it will help kirmanjki and it will protect it. You are free, you can do it. I dont mind. But, i want you to ask my questions to him. I want to know his ability. How come he can decide instead of 3 million people? He doesnt accept zaza people (authors, linguists etc) even he is nothing in zazaki history or literature, he tries to ignore zaza people who create this culture. I really want answers. He is more zaza than 3 millions? He should show us his documents. He is linguist? This is not a stupid fight, i want to stop this abuse, i saw many zazas who cant write in zazaki wikipedia because of him. Why? They dont have rights to write in their mother language?--Gomada 19:46, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Should be more an interaction ban, so no getting involved from both sides, you may not revert the other's edits. I agree that Mirzali blocking you was inappropriate, and can result with de-adminship.Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 21:40, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thats what i tried to show. You cant block people as you want. This is an international free project. There are rules. But, Even if i didnt abuse any article there, i was blocked. Because i dont think as him. What should i do? As i said, im not here for some political fight, i just care my people's languages and if i know, there is abuse in another wikipedia (any language) i would do same. Because, if everybody becomes senseless, there will be many people as Mirzali.--Gomada 23:20, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lovely competent people! The argumentation and behavior of Gomada are childish and ridiculous. His intentions are political. Also his indicated page is running by Kurdish-oriented people. They regard Zazaki as a dialect of the so-called Kurdish. That's why they want Zazaki write with the Kurdish alphabet. In addition, there they mix a lot Kurdish words into the language, where ever they can. Although there are own zazaish words for those. The truth is that Zazaki is an independent language and has its own dialects and thus it has an own alphabet. Everything else is just lazy talk of him. He himself is a Kurd and speaks no word of Zazaki. He has better to take care of his own language. He even influenced zazaish youth and incites them against me. Thus they only destroy our projects. For years, I've been concerned with the projects. Should all our effort be in vain? That's not fair! I'm in nobody's way, as long as one works very sensible in the projects. But no one has Zazaki knowledges and has only nonsense in his head, whom you don't have to leave too. Right? You know, the sysops have to be responsible for it. Otherwise, the projects are all freely accessible if someone is good in that language and helps properly. These people are the most welcome. I have applied to anyone chains. Someone like Gomada and like-minded simply can not speak Zazaki and their excuses are therefore irrelevant. Best regards! --Mirzali 18:41, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Im sorry that, i wrote in zazaki above. But , i had to show him that, he is not the only person who understand zazaki/kirmanjki here. And he can stop to lie that i dont understand zazaki!--Gomada 19:40, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seyid Riza is the most famous zaza leader in history. You can read his letter from 1937 following; In explaining the reason for the Kurdish rebellion to the British foreign secretary Anthony Eden: "The government has tried to assimilate the Kurdish people for years, oppressing them, banning publications in Kurdish, persecuting those who speak Kurdish, forcibly deporting people from fertile parts of Kurdistan for uncultivated areas of Anatolia where many have perished. The prisons are full of non-combatants, intellectuals are shot, hanged or exiled to remote places. Three million Kurds, demand to live in freedom and peace in their own country." This is enough answer for zaza nationality. If you have respect to Seyid Riza and Sheik Said, you will not even discuss your naitonality.--Gomada 20:00, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gomada, the persons you have listed are not linguists, they are kurdish-influenced authors. That what the Zazaki Wikipedia use is an alphabet which was created of the american linguist C. M. Jacobson and is supported from the Zazaki Institute Frankfurt where linguists like Mesut Keskin work (Mesut hisself studied the indoeuropean languages and has a wide knowledge about the loud rules in Zazaki).
The people of mix the Zaza-language with kurdish words, that Zazaki will be similiar to Kurdish. This is clearly a linguicide. They have not respect to the Zazaki own words. Every world know that Zazaki is an own iranic language, but this people ignore it and classifice Zazaki as a kurdish dialect. They don't accept the science. --Meyman 19:54, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Kurdish-influenced? (: funny, then who are you? C.M.Jacobson-influenced? I will not discuss nationality of zaza people. Im here for protecting this culture. If people want, they can read about Zaza people in wikipedia. Everybody can decide to feel what they want to be and i m not here to make Mirzali a kurd. I dont even care him, i just care kirmanjki/zazaki. Meyman, are you linguist? Do you know about Zazaki more than Malmisanij? He has written zaza dictionary 1987. What do you have for zazaki? --Gomada 20:00, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry that I have to say that in a short form: Gomada's argumentations and statements are from linguistic and iranistic sight not relevant and scientific. It could be enough to read this two articles about Kurdish and Zazaki written from Iranists:

So please stop bothering the Zazaki Wikipedia project... --Asmen 01:10, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You say that i dont have linguistic sight and you tell people to accept your idea by ONE link? Yes, thats linguistics for you. It should be so simple for you. If you want i can write you hundereds of links to prove that Kirmanjki/Zazaki/Dimili belong to Kurds. The point is not to show some link and tell , this is truth and you (people) must believe in that. We live in such world that , everything is very easy. You can make your own site and show us as proof. So, in short. If you wanna talk about linguistics, first you should understand what i mean. I show you the Kirmanj/Zaza/Dimili AUTHORS/LINGUISTS who create the Kirmanjki literature and culture. They publish dozen of books in this alphabet. So, do you know the meaning of this? Kirmanj people in their homeland (Kurdistan) live this culture.

You can look at below, the simple proof, zazaki newspaper

But you try to sell them another culture. Yes, that can be linguistics for you(!).

--Gomada 23:40, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your arguments are no way scientific and have no worth, you are behaving just political and with a low level polemic. The links were not only just links, there are only two examples of Iranists with authority over Zazaki. In linguistics and Iranology it is not proved that Zazaki belongs to Kurdish, so please don't insist on your baseless statements. If Zazaki would have been a Kurdish dialect or language, firstly the Iranists themselves would have confirmed that. Even Bedirxan didn't classify Zazaki as Kurdish. So which linguists you're talking about? --Asmen 22:09, 8 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It would be better if you had first given them notice, then they could have explained perhaps. On Incubator you generally should assume good faith; a lot of people are unfamiliar with Wikipedia. SPQRobin 13:57, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You were probably clicking on a link on Wn/hi/मुखपृष्ठ? Some pages linked from there have no prefix, that is why you can't create them. --MF-W {a, b} 18:38, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It could also be that you tried to create a page by entering the page name in the "search box". This does not work using standard Incubator settings. --OWTB 16:31, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Search suggest a prefixed page based on your test wiki preference. If that's not set, it links to your preferences so you can set it. SPQRobin 21:32, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there actually vandalism on these templates? Renew deleted pages from cs.Wikinews prehistory

Dear friends, can You please undelete the Wn/cs pages deleted in December 2010 by Kimberley-nia Bot (see here)? It looks like some of that time's discussions were not properly imported to the new project and they are now missed in several current discussions. Probably the Wikizprávy:, Téma: and Hlavní článek: "namespaces" should be enough to be renewed (altogether it makes 16 pages from the top of the linked list and one "Hlavní článek:" at the end of the Wn/cs section). As soon as I solve the import of the not-yet-imported pages I will let the pages to be removed from here again. Thanks a lot. Okino (talk) 00:09, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I restored those pages listed here. Please tell us if you need any help in importing them to; and when we can delete them again. --MF-W {a, b} 01:21, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pranams to all. My name is Chidroopa from Banglore. Please Somebody help us for editing in Sanskrit Wiki quotes. I am ready to Contribute Some Sanskrit Quotes. If Somebody knows well in this portal to edit then please guide me. One more thing is I tried to add a template in the main page Main Page Quote of the day, however I was unable to do so. What exactly is your problem with editing? SPQRobin (talk) 22:26, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Is it maybe that you can't create the page Template:Main Page Quote of the day which is linked from Wq/sa/मुख्यपृष्ठम्? Please note that all pages need to have a prefix, so in your case, you'd have to change the page title to Template:Wq/sa/Main Page Quote of the day. --MF-W {a, b} 17:45, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Na'vi language

I would like to create the page Wp/Na'vi, but I can't because the wiki shows "The prefix is incorrect" (but this language has no language code). Can you allow this prefix, please ? Thank you very much. Ĉiuĵaŭde (talk) 01:00, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, we can't, the constructed "Navi language" has no ISO 639-3 code, therefore it is not admissible per the language proposal policy. --MF-W {a, b} 21:07, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For translation administrators: marking Template:RC for translation

Hi! Template:RC has three problems in its marking:

  • the first section ("Some useful pages:") does not appear in the translation interface although it was marked, however without section marking. I have tried to manually add the T1 markings for that (diff) but I am not sure about that it would solve the problem (the extension's manual discourages manual marking);
  • the template has two edit links, one for site news and one for the template itself, I think it is reasonable to redirect these links to the appropriate language versions if such pages already exist. (For example, in the case of Hungarian, use Incubator:News/hu instead of Incubator:News.) I have tried to do something like that using Special:MyLangauge (diff) but I have reverted it since then as it did not work.

Also, the navbox texts (show, hide) should be made translatable somehow but I can't come up with anything useful for that. This is a long standing flaw (diff). - Xbspiro (talk) 04:02, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the first item (translating the first section). The others are quite hard to do though... --Hydriz (talk) 15:19, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there an xml file for the klingon language? If there is, please contact me at alextombomb — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Namnuser (discussioncontribs).

I don't think it was ever on Wikimedia Incubator, see meta:History of the Klingon Wikipedia. But it's still existing on wikia:klingon. SPQRobin (talk) 23:33, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

When you request for a new language Wikipedia, it links you here, and says to paste some text here and click Save, but you can't even go to this page, it says :

Error: This page is unprefixed! You are trying to create page with incorrect title.

The title most probably lacks prefix or is in other way in incorrect format (uppercase letters in prefix, trailing slash etc.). If you came here from any other page, please, return back and fix the link and then create the correctly named page. If you are attempting to create the page directly, please, create the page with proper name. If by any chance this is blocking you from creating any page which you think has correct format of title, please, let administrators know. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by (discussioncontribs).

That is because the page you were trying to edit ("Wp/") is an invalid title. Where did it link to that page, i.e. which link did you follow? What language do you want to start a Wikipedia in? SPQRobin (talk) 13:24, 19 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse of multiple accounts by Erdemaslancan

I have blocked the following accounts

after a checkuser investigation gave the result that they all could be confirmed to be accounts of the same person (see here). A similar investigation had been done on Meta before, and resulted in accounts being blocked because of "cross-wiki abuse to include vote stacking with multiple accounts on Meta". Here on Incubator, the abuse case is clearly that multiple accounts were used to pretend that the number of active users in the test-project(s) was higher, and to push the own viewpoint on certain issues. --MF-W {a, b} 20:04, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Balochi Language project

Dear admin,

I am trying to create a new project in Balochi language (ISO 639-2 bal), but I am facing troubles (You are trying to create page with incorrect title)? How can I solve this problem and create a page in Balochi language.

Kind regards,

Ahmed Yaqoub — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ahmed Yaqoub (discussioncontribs) 21:12, 21 December 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, please see Wp/bal. All pages need to start with the prefix which consists of an abbreviation for the projects (Wp=Wikipedia) and the ISO code. See more information in the FAQ.
For simplicity, you can set your project in your preferences:
  • Test wiki: - Here you choose the project
    • Test wiki language: - Here you enter the language code.
There are also more specific codes for Eastern Balochi, Western and Southern, if that helps.

--MF-W {a, b} 14:53, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pipil templates

Hi, I'm starting a test Wikinews project in the Pipil language in the incubator and am currently designing a main page and creating the basic structure. (There is already a Wikipedia project in this language in the incubator.) I need to create a few templates but on trying to make the first one I am finding that the system blocks my attempts; it gives the reason that they are "not needed". Well, they are needed actually :) I would like help unblocking this so that I can make my templates and carry on with the design. I don't know if you can do that as a blanket permission or if I will need to get you to license each template. I foresee four at present. Their names will be Wn/ppl/TopBanner, Wn/ppl/OtherNews, Wn/ppl/SectionList and Wn/ppl/MoreStuff. I have created the content for TopBanner and placed it in User:A R King/TopBanner in the incubator. I may create the other template contents tomorrow and similarly store them temporarily in my user space, until this can be fixed. Could you please either give me permission (preferred solution), create the templates I need or create the empty pages for the templates and let me edit them? Thanks, Alan --A R King (talk) 00:52, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, you have been accidentally caught by an edit filter I set up to block a persistent troll/vandal who has been annoying us in the last days. Unfortunately I had made a mistake in the coding (which I now fixed). I'm very sorry about that! You should now be able to make the edits as planned. The log has recorded the texts you tried to instate. --MF-W {a, b} 03:54, 7 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is progressively becoming time and effort consuming for admins . I do understand the headache that admins have to suffer in such conflicts , without knowing the language of the debates . As a clear shortcut to the solution , I can suggest to ask User:Mardetanha to judge here : he knows Persian , Azeri Turkish and he is a sysop and bureaucrat on Meta Wikimedia.--Alborz Fallah (talk) 09:13, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes; it seems like this is an issue mostly for Farsi Wikipedia. We Incubator admins have no authority about edits made in Farsi Wikipedia. --MF-W {a, b} 22:53, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A false positive in an edit filter, which I now disabled. Sorry.
However, please note that hs is not a valid ISO 639-3 code. For Hindustani, you should use hi: or ur:. Thanks. --MF-W {a, b} 19:46, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ghomala Wikipedia (Wp/bbj)

As I see it, local contributors learnt Wikipedia targets very badly. The majority of pages is in French, some pages almost don't have any meaningful content. In fact this wiki looks more like a website, not an actual encyclopedia.

Who's able to speak French well? Just to warn them. 'Cause this wiki may be deleted without special compunction, but it's obvious that they worked hard on this. --Midnight Gambler (talk) 10:25, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, Midnight Gambler is right. I added Wp/bbj category yesterday & also found out most of them don't have any meaningful content, even the pages not look like an encyclopedia. --NahidSultan (talk) 12:39, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Konkani Wiki Incubator

Dear Admin

The Konkani language on Wiki Incubator now as 1200 odd pages and counting. Many of our Konkani speaking community people, worldwide are not aware of the Konkani Wiki Incubator. There will surely be more contributing to the Konkani Wikipedia and also access the resources put up on the site.

At present we are still contributing and will do so in future. Also we shall be pleased to receive some more guidance to make the Konkani Wiki more resourceful and useful to the Konkani speaking community worldwide.

Would the Administrators kindly consider my request to move the Konkani Wiki to the main Wikipedia from the Incubator stage ?

It would be a privilege and an achievement of sorts to find the Konkani Language on the Main Wikipedia.

Thank you in anticipation
