Wp/qu-ec

Your software blocks the creation of the pages Wp/qu-ec and Wp/qu-ec/Kapak panka as well as Wp/qu_EC and Wp/qu_EC/Kapak panka for a new Wikipedia project in Kichwa. Please look at Incubator:Requests for starting a test#Kichwa Wikipedia for further discussion. How can the problem be resolved? MediaWiki:Sidebar-wikis-url

I have created these pages for the languages that have had a translated version of Incubator:Wikis (German, Dutch, Hungarian and French), however they are seemingly not working when clicking on the sidebar, all of them defaults back to English. Any idea? - Xbspiro 21:17, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kirmanjki wikipedia

Hello, i talked to an administrator of WM Incubator Hydriz (btw thx Hydriz) and I showed him abuse on Kirmanjki wikipedia. I wanted to share with you all. There is some user who try to use an alphabet of turkish influence for Kirmanjki wikipedia. But , if you look at http://www.zazaki.net/haber/alfabeya-kurdk-76.htm you can see real alphabet of Kirmanjki. That website belongs to Kirmanj authors and linguists as Malmisanij, Munzur Çem, Roşan Lezgîn and others.. The vandal user (user:Mirzali) has a turkish influence in his mind, thats why he try to apply that to all Kirmanj people. Btw, He is also admin at Zazaki Wikipedia and actually, he is only user at (http://diq.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges) Zazaki wikipedia now. Because , he just block users who want to write articles in original zazaki alphabet. Isnt this tyranny? Zaza linguists have an alphabet and Lord Mirzali has his own turkic aplhabet. I think, Administrators of Wikimedia should make a wikipedia for him (!) , maybe after that he will stop to vandalize Zazaki and Kirmanjki wikipedias. I want admins of WM incubator be aware of his vandalism. Btw , i want to know the rules of blocking users in Wikimedia projects. Please stop this Kurdish nationalist rassist like Gomada. Zazas are not Kurds, and thus is Zazaki also not a Kurdish language. He changes the articles with the Kurdish alphabet. I have blocked Mirzali (talk | contribs) on the base of misusing the deletion template and vandalism in general. It will be for 3 days. Another suggestion: Ban the two from making edits relating to the wiki in dispute, widely construed, and an interaction ban (directly and indirectly). The two bans will be for no less than 1 year, and when done, the two will remain until determined that they are able to work collaborativly. This should be a global ban, and will be posted on meta:. Please do not block people happily. Blocking in this case does not help either people, as this issue needs to be traced to the institutions in charge of the two languages we are speaking about here. Of course, we need to talk to people as much as possible. I want you to check zazaki wikipedia too. This is a free project. But when you check zazaki wikipedia, you will see that Mirzali has turned it to his kingdom. I will give you a simple example. I have been blocked by him there. I want to know the reason. He can block people without any reason? You can look at my only contributions in zazaki wikipedia. He wants to do same to kirmanjki (wp/kiu). He didnt let many zazas to contribute in original zazaki/kirmanjki alphabet. Thats why , there is no more people in zazaki wikipedia now. He is the only user. He should be happy there because nobody can say anything to him. Lovely competent people! The argumentation and behavior of Gomada are childish and ridiculous. His intentions are political. Also his indicated page is running by Kurdish-oriented people. They regard Zazaki as a dialect of the so-called Kurdish. That's why they want Zazaki write with the Kurdish alphabet. In addition, there they mix a lot Kurdish words into the language, where ever they can. Although there are own zazaish words for those. The truth is that Zazaki is an independent language and has its own dialects and thus it has an own alphabet. Everything else is just lazy talk of him. He himself is a Kurd and speaks no word of Zazaki. He has better to take care of his own language. He even influenced zazaish youth and incites them against me. Thus they only destroy our projects. For years, I've been concerned with the projects. Should all our effort be in vain? That's not fair! I'm in nobody's way, as long as one works very sensible in the projects. But no one has Zazaki knowledges and has only nonsense in his head, whom you don't have to leave too. Right? You know, the sysops have to be responsible for it. You can read his letter from 1937 following; In explaining the reason for the Kurdish rebellion to the British foreign secretary Anthony Eden: "The government has tried to assimilate the Kurdish people for years, oppressing them, banning publications in Kurdish, persecuting those who speak Kurdish, forcibly deporting people from fertile parts of Kurdistan for uncultivated areas of Anatolia where many have perished. The prisons are full of non-combatants, intellectuals are shot, hanged or exiled to remote places. Three million Kurds, demand to live in freedom and peace in their own country." Gomada, the persons you have listed are not linguists, they are kurdish-influenced authors. That what the Zazaki Wikipedia use is an alphabet which was created of the american linguist C. M. Jacobson and is supported from the Zazaki Institute Frankfurt where linguists like Mesut Keskin work (Mesut hisself studied the indoeuropean languages and has a wide knowledge about the loud rules in Zazaki).

The people of Zazaki.net mix the Zaza-language with kurdish words, that Zazaki will be similiar to Kurdish. This is clearly a linguicide. They have not respect to the Zazaki own words. Every world know that Zazaki is an own iranic language, but this people ignore it and classifice Zazaki as a kurdish dialect. The links were not only just links, there are only two examples of Iranists with authority over Zazaki. In linguistics and Iranology it is not proved that Zazaki belongs to Kurdish, so please don't insist on your baseless statements. If Zazaki would have been a Kurdish dialect or language, firstly the Iranists themselves would have confirmed that. Even Bedirxan didn't classify Zazaki as Kurdish. Not able to create articles on Hindi Wikinews (incubator)

Is there actually vandalism on these templates? If yes, we could consider to restrict the editing of the pages to autoconfirmed users (the only other possibility is to restict editing to admins, which shouldn't be done). It looks like some of that time's discussions were not properly imported to the new project and they are now missed in several current discussions. For translation administrators: marking Template:RC for translation

Hi! Template:RC has three problems in its marking:

the first section ("Some useful pages:") does not appear in the translation interface although it was marked, however without section marking. I have tried to manually add the T1 markings for that (diff) but I am not sure about that it would solve the problem (the extension's manual discourages manual marking);
the template has two edit links, one for site news and one for the template itself, I think it is reasonable to redirect these links to the appropriate language versions if such pages already exist. (For example, in the case of Hungarian, use Incubator:News/hu instead of Incubator:News.) I have tried to do something like that using Special:MyLangauge (diff) but I have reverted it since then as it did not work.

Also, the navbox texts (show, hide) should be made translatable somehow but I can't come up with anything useful for that. This is a long standing flaw (diff). - Xbspiro (talk) 04:02, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pipil templates

Hi, I'm starting a test Wikinews project in the Pipil language in the incubator and am currently designing a main page and creating the basic structure. (There is already a Wikipedia project in this language in the incubator.) I need to create a few templates but on trying to make the first one I am finding that the system blocks my attempts; it gives the reason that they are "not needed". Well, they are needed actually :) I would like help unblocking this so that I can make my templates and carry on with the design. I don't know if you can do that as a blanket permission or if I will need to get you to license each template. I foresee four at present. Their names will be Wn/ppl/TopBanner, Wn/ppl/OtherNews, Wn/ppl/SectionList and Wn/ppl/MoreStuff. I have created the content for TopBanner and placed it in User:A R King/TopBanner in the incubator. I may create the other template contents tomorrow and similarly store them temporarily in my user space, until this can be fixed. Could you please either give me permission (preferred solution), create the templates I need or create the empty pages for the templates and let me edit them? Ghomala Wikipedia (Wp/bbj)

As I see it, local contributors learnt Wikipedia targets very badly. The majority of pages is in French, some pages almost don't have any meaningful content. In fact this wiki looks more like a website, not an actual encyclopedia.

Incubator logo has wrong license

The locally hosted file File:Wiki.png has the wrong license. Currently it has a custom "This image is copyrighted by the Wikimedia Foundation ... All rights reserved" license, but as of 2014-10-24 this logo is CC-BY-SA 3.0. That page is protected to prevent editing, so I can't fix it myself. Dear Admin

The Konkani language on Wiki Incubator now as 1200 odd pages and counting. Many of our Konkani speaking community people, worldwide are not aware of the Konkani Wiki Incubator. There will surely be more contributing to the Konkani Wikipedia and also access the resources put up on the site.

At present we are still contributing and will do so in future. Also we shall be pleased to receive some more guidance to make the Konkani Wiki more resourceful and useful to the Konkani speaking community worldwide.

Would the Administrators kindly consider my request to move the Konkani Wiki to the main Wikipedia from the Incubator stage ?

It would be a privilege and an achievement of sorts to find the Konkani Language on the Main Wikipedia.
