Welcome to Wikimedia Incubator! At the right there are some important links, and here are some tips and info:

  • If you haven't created a user page yet, please create one with for example Babel templates on it.
  • You can select your interface language in your preferences.
  • If you make articles, templates or categories, don't forget to add a prefix!
  • If your knowledge of English is good, you can help with translating pages to other languages you know, so more people can understand them!
  • If you want to translate the interface, please go to Translatewiki.net and follow their instructions.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on Incubator:Community Portal.

Chinook Jargon edit

Did you just--- put the main page--- on your profile? POSSUM chowg (talk) 17:20, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Just to save it in case you didn't like the one I created. Jon Gua (talk) 17:23, 12 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any problem with my edits to your version the Chinook Jargon Wikipedia main page? POSSUM chowg (talk) 04:56, 13 January 2024 (UTC) (P.S. you can still find it in the page history.)Reply

Not at all, I think they look great :) Jon Gua (talk) 08:21, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

I put a link at the top of the main page, allowing you to access the old version as well as the new one... in case any old editors return to CJ Wikipedia. The new main page has been retained.POSSUM chowg (talk) 03:55, 15 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

May I have your email address, please? Jon Gua (talk) 11:21, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
It's haonlsdnalwor@gmail.com, but in return, may I please have the general area in which you live (I live in Ventura County, California, U.S.A.)? Yeah, I say we'll have to exchange a few things here and there... POSSUM chowg (talk) 15:07, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

Just want to inform you that Meitei language is now available (approved yesterday) in Microsoft Translator also in both Meitei script as well as Latin script. The formal name of the language is "Manipuri". If searched as "Meitei" in Microsoft Translator, there will be no result. :-):-) Btw, I am still ready to do translations for you whenever in need. Haoreima (talk) 13:43, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much for the information and for you help. Could you please translate this to Meitei in Latin script?
Glosa is an artificial auxiliary language designed for international communication. It has several characteristics:
  • Its pronunciation is regular, and its spelling is phonetic.
  • Its structure is very simple and based on meaning.
  • It is an analytical language with no inflections or genders. A small number of words handle grammatical relations.
  • Above all, Glosa is neutral and truly international due to the use of Latin and Greek roots, which are used in the international scientific vocabulary.
Thanks. Jon Gua (talk) 13:47, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wasn't it a few days ago that I translated the same passages, except in Latin script? Are they different? Haoreima (talk) 13:51, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

We've almost hit 200 pages on Chinook Jargon Wikipedia! edit

We're at 197 pages, and there are three contributors on CJ Wikipedia. Because of this, I got an idea for how we could "celebrate": I write a page, ISO 369-3 nds writes a page, and you write a page that we could translate. How does that sound? POSSUM chowg   (talk) 15:30, 20 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
