hank you for you correction, sometimes I have problem withmy PC carachters. --81.63.120.64 10:31, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

thank you for your precious corrections. I apologize for my misstakes but I use often as examples the presumed old greek translations on other wikis (English or German) and perhaps sometimes the people who created these pages forgot the accents --46.14.254.242 16:03, 10 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mountain ὄρος

edit

dear Martinus

Could you explain me why did you change the correct ὄρη with ὄρoi, if I check the dictionary or:

ὄρη is right, or do I forget something?--Helveticus montanus 21:06, 13 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I thank you for your answer. I too have to apologize for all my misstakes in putting the accents, but if my Latin is poor the Old Greek is worse. Working on both wikipedias I hope to ameliorate. I hope also that more people will work on this Old Greek wikipedia, I do not see a big problem in the fact that's only an incubator. Ciao--Helveticus montanus 15:32, 14 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dear Martinus, how areyou? I miss your help and your corrections

hi Martin, I see you reverted my Christmas edits on this. No offense taken, as you evidently reacted on good faith impulse, but I wonder if you'd reconsider reverting your reverts. As I explained in my comments' boxes, the change in the first sentence of the "We choose" section, is just supplanting the indicative with subjunctive for "let us choose", as you are familiar from your Euclid, and using infinitives for objectives of ἵνα, (instead of the biblical οὑτωσώστε. Perhaps just ὥστε is better, with infinitives).

All the other changes either substitute adjectives, which ancient Greeks used to characterize the noun instead of the "pidgin" blunt juxtaposition of the name of the creator (!?), used in today's English, French, German, etc... (unless, of course, one is prepared to invent the genitive case of Sophus Lie!); and avoiding "and" as a conjunction to mean "thus". The further specification for "operator" and "commutator" are needed to disambiguate the minimalist english version and make sure the sentence is not misread. I'm not quite sure what your objections were, but I am not inclined to be helpful in rectifying pidgin classical Greek if I have to fuss my way word by word there, no? Moving a page to Incubator namespace

edit

Hi, why did you move Wp/grc/Γάιος Ἰούλιος Καῖσαρ Ὀκταβιανός to Incubator:Wp/grc/Γάιος Ἰούλιος Καῖσαρ Ὀκταυϊανός? The Incubator namespace is for pages about this site, not for content. Regards, SPQRobin (talk) 15:34, 15 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

You shouldn't delete it, then the page loses the edit history. You can just move it back. Anyway, MF-Warburg has fixed it, so it's okay now. SPQRobin (talk) 23:25, 15 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Χαῖρε! I don't know if you still contribute in the Ancient Greek Wikipedia. If not, it would be still cool if you could vote here so that we can finally come to a solution that has plagued us for a long time. Εὐχαριστῶ! PastelKos (talk) 16:58, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
