Thank you for the nomination, @Rifat008. Bengali Wikinews already has a test admin who appears to be actively monitoring the project. Since the project isn't very active, I believe one admin is sufficient for now. Therefore, I will step back from the nomination. I was good at test-adminship after I got its rights, I was using it to change names, block vandals, and so many things to grow the wiki I edit. Now the adminship year ended and the wiki was some type of offline because I am busy interface-translating. An active user disappeared for a month after he got adminship. Now that most of the work on Translatewiki.net has been done, I'd like to request test adminship for the Interslavic Wikipedia version in the Incubator. I am aware of the fact that it doesn't have the required 50 articles yet, and that's why I would also like to request the right to import most of the material that is currently in our wiki at Miraheze, including 485 articles and a number of templates, modules etc. If that is a problem, then I'd like to ask an admin to do it for me. For what it is worth, I have been active as a registered user on Wikipedia since 2004, I've been a moderator and ArbCom member at nlwiki and vowiki, and I have experience with import and export from one wiki to another. I am very familiar with Incubator (although I might need help with a few things), I know and accept the rules, and I speak Interslavic reasonably fluently. Discounting "project" page, the 50 article count really has only very narrowly been reached. I don't think there's a necessity for test-admins already at this stage. I suggest discussing the import at Incubator:Import requests. --MF-W {a, b} 21:14, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

If the requirements have been reached, albeit narrowly, then what exactly is the problem? The way I understand policy, or rather: any policy, is that once all requirements are met, there should be a pretty good reason to make an exception. And if I'm being honest, "I don't think there's a necessity" does not strike me as a particularly convincing one. The reason why I think it's necessary is quite simply that to make everything work, I'll have to do certain operations that I am not allowed to. For example, implementing automatic transliteration between Latin and Cyrillic. Also, import needs to be performed carefully, because there are a few doublets to be taken care of. I understand the requirements have been reached, but do you really think Wp/isv needs a Test-administrator as of right now? Do keep in mind test-adminship does not grant you rights to create MediaWiki namespace pages (this means you still need to ask someone with proper rights), this is, you won't be able to implement automatic transliteration by yourself. About imports, I still suggest you go to Incubator:Import requests, because as you have said, imports need to be performed carefully and this is better done by an importer (a test-administrator does not have this right).

Also, do keep in mind that although "I don't think there's a necessity" is not a requirement, it is an opposition being made by a member, as stated in the policy itself: «Users are given 5 days to place comments. After this period, requests will be reviewed by a bureaucrat and if there is no reasonable opposition, you will be made into a test-admin.»

Greetings! Please allow me to once again request adminship for the Interslavic edition, including the right to import material from our external wiki. At this point, there cannot be any doubt that the number of articles exceeds the required fifty. And import is necessary for two reasons. First of all, because hundreds of articles have been copied manually without any attribution, which essentially is a copyright violation. And secondly, the longer it takes, the harder it will become to do everything correctly (for example, to avoid merging an original article with a redirect to a renamed article). And at last, of course for the usual maintenance work, such as removing useless redirects with misspelled titles and the like, too. Thanks,  IJzeren Jan (besěda) 22:01, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

@MF-Warburg: Thank you! Eligibility has already been taken care of. As for your second point, you are right that it would be a lot easier and more practical to import everything to a new Wikipedia. But eligibility is not the same as approval, and even if all the necessarily requirements regarding activity and content for approval are fulfilled, there is still no guarantee that this happen on a short term.
