Bajärn / Aldbajärn
editIf these aren't the same with "Bajuwaren / Bajuwôôrn", so can you translate me this sentence from preamble of Wp/vmf/Bajuwôôrn:
Die Bajuwôôrn, Aldbajärn oddä aa afach Bajärn sinn a gärmaanischär Volgsschdamm, der si in dä Välgärwandärungsdsaid um 500 n. Gr. rum aus Schbliddär fo verschiidne Gärmanagrubbm und Gallorömer im Donaugebiid um Regnsburch, Münchng und Bassau bild hod.
It might be simple misunderstanding of the meaning; but words "Bajuwôôrn", "Aldbajärn", "Bajärn" was in bold as you see, and this circumstance confused me... --Midnight Gambler (talk) 08:03, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- You are right, the article Bajuwôôrn contains incorrect information. I will correct the most obvious ones.
- The thing is, that the Bavarii / Bajuwaren / Bajuwôôrn have been a teutonic tribe, the Bavarians (Baiern / Bajärn) are very probably descendants of the Bavarii / Bajuwaren / Bajuwôôrn but also of the Romans. That means briefly, the Bavarians are a mixture of Romans and Bavarii/Bajuwaren and others.

- It's clear. Thanks for the explanation.
- Just for note, be careful with undoing of edits. In addition to working with the image, I also made here some handy fixes. (The standard config includes "220px": illustration ought to be a bit bigger, so I think "250px" is enough). --Midnight Gambler (talk) 12:08, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- I'm careful Midnight Gambler, I know a bit about the formatting standards, otherwise I wouldn't be admin and bureaucrat of the Bavarian wikipedia. The "standard" is exactly what I mentioned. What you did is not wrong, but it is less-than-ideal (e.g. for smartphones, notepads and different screen solutions). Btw, I appreciate your support of this wiki. --Bua333 (talk) 12:24, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Under "careful" I meant this. :) I don't reproach you, in no case.
- I'm very happy that experienced users support small wikis, so I appreciate your help too. --Midnight Gambler (talk) 13:36, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi Bua333, I'll hold off with deleting the redirects for now, seeing a discussion. The redirects did not meet the criteria. Place the {{delete}} templates back if the consensus here is to rid of the redirects. Ebe123 (Talkabout it|contribs) 15:22, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Personally I support the deletion of my redirects. Or if someone speaks Main-Franconian enough, he might add a relevant text instead of redirection. --Midnight Gambler (talk) 17:36, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Ebe, please see the articles in en.wp and de.wp and the scientific literature. In this case there is no need for discussion, there is need for information only.
- It would be similar than one would redirect "Anglo-Saxons" to "Brits" or vice versa. --Bua333 (talk) 07:23, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
