Good news

edit

(Yep, it's a first topic in our community portal :-) .) According to this page, Livonian Wikipedia is awaiting content verification. Possibly it will be approval by LangCom soon. We should be more active from now onwards, if we want to see this wiki in our domain. Regards, --Aig mest ei varasta (talk) 11:36, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll do my best to be active despite loads of new duties offline that have materialised in the past few months and show no promise of going away. At least I'll try to keep on generating new pages on heads of state and heads of government. -- Ohpuu (talk) 08:49, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New Year! :-) I hope in year 2013 we can see the Livonian Wikipedia on its own subdomain. Greetings, --Aig mest ei varasta (talk) 08:43, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A little help for me

edit

So, "pūompū" and "kīndapū" are synonymical words, and both mean "elm-tree", right? Thx in advance. --Tamara Ustinova (talk) 19:15, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

looking to the livonian web-dictionary https://web.archive.org/web/20151004043602/http://www.murre.ut.ee/liivi/
Yeah, thank you. This also would be better with the possibility of translation from Russian, but enough is as good as a feast. :) --Tomoi (diskussiitond) 19:10, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I found this:
pūompū=pūom(a) eesti: jalakas ▫ latviski: parastā goba ▫ latina: ulmus glabra
pūom(b)=kīndabǟ eesti: künnapuu ▫ latviski: parastā vīksna ▫ latina: ulmus laevis
Now it's clear. --Tomoi (diskussiitond) 19:10, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
