Isn't that already existed at Wp/qwh/Hatun Punku? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 10:03, 3 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

User pages in namespace

edit

Let me clarify this issue, because you are really trying to get around the rules here:

  • You can't have prefixed pages in user space. That's why I moved the first version of the page to be a subpage of your user page.
  • In a similar way, you can't have user pages in main space, either, even though the prefix appears before the word "User:". So I plan to delete the new page as well.
  • I appreciate that you'd like to have a user page set up that will automatically be exported to a new wiki when the project is approved. But we explicitly don't want that; the people who export and import new wiki content have plenty to do in transferring the encyclopedic content without having to worry about user pages, too. So you will be responsible for copying over your own user page on the new wiki when it is created.
  • For what it's worth, aside from my main Incubator user page, I have three "ready-to-go" user pages set up; right now they are subpages of my user page, located at User:StevenJ81/Wb/lad, User:StevenJ81/Wt/lad and User:StevenJ81/Wb/yi. That's the way you need to handle something like this.

Wq/qwh

edit

I'm happy to have you as a test admin on Wp/qwh. But I'd request that you don't start creating new info pages (like Wq/qwh) unless you have explicit plans to create content. Thank you. StevenJ81 (talk) 03:02, 7 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

translatewiki

edit

Hi,

Very sorry about not replying earlier about this.

I am ready to add your language to translatewiki, but I need to know which name should I give it: nunashimi? ankash qichwa? Something else?

Thanks! --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 16:29, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Amrire 80 the name of Ancash Quechua in its language is Anqash Qichwa. thanks --Michael junior obregon pozo (talk) 16:58, 1 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK, just wondering: Why does the main page say "Kayqa Ankash qichwachaw Wikipidiyam"? It's 'k' and not 'q'. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 10:59, 2 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Amire80: The word Ancash in Quechua can be wrote as ankash or anqash ,the two forms are acceptables.-Michael junior obregon pozo (talk) 14:27, 2 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK, I'm going to go with "Anqash" for now because that's what I find much more frequently on Google. However, I have a comment and a couple of questions:
  • Please consider editing this on the main page.
  • Other than the Wikipedia Incubator, are there any other websites in this language?
  • Is there a dictionary or a grammar book of this language? It doesn't matter if it's printed or online. If you have such a dictionary, can you please check how is it written there? I'd really love to base names of languages on published reliable written sources.
Thanks! --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 14:36, 2 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Wb/qu

edit

Hello, it seems that you created this portal page, but without creating any subpages of it (even no mainpage for your test project), do you have time on maintaining it? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 13:17, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to add a couple of points, Michael:
  • You've really been working on the Ecuadorian (/Peruvian) versions of Quechua, not on "the whole macrolanguage". So if you really want to undertake a Wikibooks project, why wouldn't you be wanting to work on a Wb/qwh project?
  • It seems to me that you're plenty busy dealing with Wp/qwh and Wt/qwh. Are you really going to make time to start writing testbooks?
In principle, there can be a Quechua Wikibooks. In practice, if nobody is really working on it now, let's not keep that page around. StevenJ81 (talk) 14:39, 30 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
