Thanks for your translations. I see that 90% of the Dagbani articles do not have interwiki links. It would be good practice to add the English link to an article if it exists on English Wikipedia. For example, the article on Dagbanli has the link [[en:Dagbani language]] at the bottom of that page. In this way, when actual Dagbani Wikipedia is created, it would be easier for those pages to be automatically linked to thes rest of the Wikipedia language editions.

By the way, what is the English page equivalent of "Bimboɣkuŋ"?--Philip J (talk) 01:15, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

  • The Dagombas are ethnic group of the Kingdom of Dagbon (Northern Ghana) and they number about 825,736 (2002).[1] They inhabit the Northern Region of the Kingdom of Dagbon (Northern Ghana) in the sparse savanna region below the sahelian belt, known as the Sudan. They speak the Dagbani language which belongs to the More-Dagbani sub-group of Gur languages. There are around 1 million speakers of the Dagbani.

Re: Category:Wp/dag

I agree that when the Dagbani Wikipedia is created as a 'real' wikipedia, the Category:Wp/dag tag becomes obsolete, however if Category:Wp/dag is not added to each page in Incubator, then the dagbani article counter on wikimedia incubator would remain stagnant (unchanged); in fact it remained at 97 articles. After Category:Wp/dag was added, the article counter updated to 150 articles.

If you don't want to add Category:Wp/dag to each article then that is up to you, however the article counter would not 'count' the article as pert of the total and over time many Dagbani users would become frustrated as to why the the article counter remained at 97 articles when they already created hundreds or thousands of new articles since then. --Ernesztina (talk) 01:16, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Make a Meta-Wiki request for Dagbani Wikipedia or not?
