Could you please write a stub Wp/kok/dn/Kurów - just a few sentences based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kur%C3%B3w ? Only 2-5 sentences enough. Please.
PS. Article about Kurów is already on 136 languages (e.g. on English, Marathi & Hindi). If you do that, please put interwiki link into English version. Abbreviation DN mean Devanāgarī or what? Pietras1988 11:14, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Konkani Accents...
editHello, My name is Rajesh Shenoy.. I appreciate your effort in trying to get konknai Wikipedia up and running. I wanted to know how you will be dealing with the accents of Konkani? Like we in karnataka speak one dialect and Goans speak one dialect and kerala speaks one dialect. I am not saying any one is superior, all dialects have equal number of people speaking it. Though being similar, they are different and it is difficult to understand for the others. Are there going to be different versions of konkani or is it going to be one single Goan dialect?
Reply
editHello Rajesh, Sorry that this reply is late. i have been unable to make any contributions from a long time and frankly it is disheartening that no one except for a handfull of editors were contributing.
Yes you are right about the differneces in dialects. Even now I do not have a complete idea about the various dialects. I know how difficult it can be for one person to understand anothers' dialect. Most of us write in a dialect and script we are comfortable with. No one among us knows the standard dialect. I am studying standard Konkani but still feel uncomfortable with it. We were hoping that once a significant number of editors came on board we could take a more informed and consensual decision. Unfortunately that has not happened. You way take a look at this page: http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wp/kok#Translation_and_Transliteration
In the meantime please feel free to contribute in your own dialect , in whichever script you are comfortable. We will take care of translating it to the standard dialect later, if the need arises. --Deepak D'Souza (talk • contribs) 08:49, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Hello. The test project exists already for quite some time and it seems people don't know how to get a Wikipedia. I'll help you, but I first need to solve a problem: "kok" is a macrolanguage, so you need to say whether it is knn or gom that is the same as Wp/kok. Greetings, SPQRobin 23:26, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- No, you don't need to move them, I can do it in one click. Greetings, SPQRobin 09:11, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- I have moved the test to "gom". Another question: Could you please also move "Wp/gom" to 'Wp/gom/Main Page" with the word "Main Page" translated to Konkani? Thanks, SPQRobin 09:31, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- And yet another issue: don't create articles in two or more scripts/alphabets, therefore we need a conversion script. I assume we'll take Devanagari as main script (because it's official according to Wikipedia). SPQRobin 09:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- Multiple scripts is indeed a problem which requires more work. Certainly if there are more than two scripts. And please don't let me decide finally – I have no knowledge about the situation. SPQRobin 15:21, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- Two scripts are doable. I've added an explanation at Talk:Wp/gom. Let's talk further over there. SPQRobin 10:58, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Hello
editHello Mr Deepak, My name is Sudarshan Kamath. I have one doubt. Since Malvani is dialect of Konkani, will there be Malwani articles in wp\gom? Also can you tell reply on what is standard Konkani and how can one learn it?

Hello friend!
editDear Deepak D'Souza,
I am Nitika and I work with Centre for Internet & Society (CIS) with Access To Knowledge Team (A2K). The A2K team works with the Wikimedia community in India to expand Wikipedia and its sister projects. Over the past few months A2K team has put together a detailed Annual Work Plan for 2013–14.
For the coming year, A2K team has prioritized five languages and will be working closely to grow these language Wikipedia projects and I'm happy to share that one of these prioritized projects is Konkani Wikipedia. Konkani Wikipedia has been in it's incubation stage since inception in 2006 and A2K has great plans to put in all the effort to bring it as a live project. In addition, A2K team will also work closely with the Konkani community to organise translation sprints, release Konkani Vishwakosh under CC-BY-SA 3.0, strengthen the Konkani community, create more awareness about Konkani Wikipedia and more.
We are super excited to roll out plans for Konkani Wikipedia and your support and suggestions are extremely important to us. You have been one of the few people who have been actively contributing to Konkani Wikipedia and we highly value your suggestions.
To begin with, I'd request you to go through our detailed Konakani Work Plan and leave suggestions/comments/ideas on this page. If you'd want to get in touch with me to discuss the plan you can drop me a mail at nitika cis-india.org or drop a note on my talk page. I look forward to hearing from you soon and working closely with you to strengthen the Konkani Wikipedia community.
Thanks
