Makuru (June/July) is the bonar where cold fronts, that have been present over the lower south-west coast region, cross further north. Nidja bonar is usually the wettest part of the year. The Noongar people would begin to move inland to hunt when they felt the rains had replenished their required amount of inland water resources.[1][2]
