Masry

Thanks for your message and your very appreciated contributions, I think that mentioning the name of the language as Masry would be sufficient.

The purpose of writing it in Arabic Alphabet is to make it understood by any Egyptian or at least the majority of them. I am sure there would be a way worked out to incorporate the contributions in Latin Alphabet in the articles, yet for the time being I will be focusing on writing in Arabic Alphabet as this will be aimed at the majority of speakers of Masry.Thanks again Ghaly 16:14, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't think there is anything wrong in what you are proposing at the end it will be like an introduction to that alphabet. What I meant was that at the moment dividing the efforts might weaken the progress of the project and from my side I'd rather focus on expanding the already present articles , you can continue with what you think is good for the project at the same time, the joint efforts of all editors will only add to the project's success.Ghaly 18:13, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

قاموس اللغة المصرية

انا عندي اقتراح و محتاج مساعدة. عايزين نعمل قاموس للغة المصرية و ممكن نستعمل الابجدية اللاتيني اللي اقترحها ممدوح لضبط النطق ونحدد اصل الكلمة هل عربي ولا قبطى و لا اي لغة تانية و نعمل الجنس يعني الكلمة يا تري مذكر ولا مؤنث . في كلمات كتيرة عربية لما دخلت المصري غيرت الجنس بتاعها زي طريق(مؤنث) في العربي و( مذكر) في المصري

Dear Mamduh. many thanks for the editions and revisons you have made today to the Latin Enteries in the egyptian wiktionary. i Have more suggestions for you to include in the latin alphabet if you are convinced of their significance:

• To add umlauted O (Ö), this new letter will serve as a long O in FÖX ( فوق) and MÖZ (موز) , that particular umlauted O will be of paramount imprtance in differntating between these pairs of words ZÖX and ZOX ( manners and Push )BÖN and BON ( token and coffee).
• to replace AE combination with Á/á to have one letter to represent one sound ex. Benaet ( girls) to become Benát.
