Tourism in Kosovo

Kosovo is a country that is defined by Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. It is situated in Peninsula Balkan. Capital City of Kosovo is Prishtina and has 6 cities : Gjilani, Ferizaji, Gjakova, Prizreni, Peja dhe Mitrovica. Kosovo is a small country and it has not have cruise but has many beautiful places to visit and should see and feel. Relieve is hilly mountain when during the summer is to hot and during the winter is to cold. Kosovo flag is this :

Map is the flag represent Kosovo border while stars represent six communities in Kosovo, when 92٪ are Albanian,4٪ are Serbian, 2٪ are Bosnian and Goran, 1٪ Turkish and 1٪ Roman. The official language in Kosovo are Albanian and Serbian, laws are published also in English, and it is speak Turkish, Romanian and Bosnian. Religion in Kosovo are Islam and Christian[1] Kosovo is the youngest country in Europe but there are many natural beauty to see. Kosovo has many places to visit, some of them are:

  • Gadime Cave

In 1966 a villager called Ahemt Diti was working in his garden when he saw a manhole from which came some bright light.In 1976 was available for visitors to visit it. [2]The cave length is 1,260m and has been found in a village called Gadime near Lipjan. This cave has different shapes of crystal one of them is Romeo and Julieta, snake etc, that gives this shape an amazing view.[3]

  • Sharr Mountains

Sharr Mountains are one of the beauties in Kosovo. In this mountain value diversity of flora and fauna.


Nation Park " Sharr Mountains" has:

  1. 2,500 species of plants
  2. 112 associations of forest vegetation, shrub and herbaceous
  3. 165 species of wild animals
  4. 200 species of birds
  5. 147 species of butterflies [5]
