Name incorrect

The word banga is not the native name for the cutlass in Kikuyu. The name should be rũhiũ and the plural hiũ. ₫ӓ₩₳ _{Talk to Me. Email Me.} 04:51, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

I got that word out of Gerald Wanjohi's 2006 "English-Gĩkũyũ Gĩkũyũ-English Vocabulary and Usage", published by Nyatũrĩma Publications, Nairobi. Of course, all languages can have more than one word for the same object. Presumably, "banga" is a loan from Swahili ("panga"). Are you saying that no Kikuyu speaker would recognise "banga" as such? --Baba Tabita (talk) 13:32, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
