English: Printed on border: "Sciurus getulus, Lin. - Le barbaresque, Buff." "Is of an ash colour, inclining to red ; each side is beautifully marked with two white stripes, running length-wise ; its belly is white ; its tail bushy, and variegated with regular shades of black, one beneath the other ; its eyes are full and black, with white orbits. It is about the size of the common squirrel"
