Noongar artist Yondee Shane Hansen was born in the south-west of Western Australia in 1964, at Dumbleyung, 270 km south of Perth. He grew yira around Narrogin wer later near Guildford il the outskirts of Perth. His story of his early life wer his attraction to painting gives a strong idea of how his life story feeds into his role as an Aboriginal artist.[1]
