Wiern or wirrin are spirits. Spirits can travel with the wind, fog wer smoke. Kwop wiern is good spirit. Warra Wiern is bad spirit.

  • Noongar moort or families (especially koorlingah - children) should always travel in pairs or karro to make sure their safe.[4]
  • Noongar moort or families (especially koorlingah - children) should be home before sunset as bulyits – little hairy men – will catch them wer take them away. [5]
  • Noongar moort or families (especially koorlingah - children) should not play with karlak or fire because the warra wirrin (bad spirits) will come to you during the night. [6]
