Nartj Wah (what is this?)

edit

The Poolgara, Poolgarla,[1] Bulgalla,[1] Mungite,[1] or Mungitch[2] has the scientific name Banksia grandis wer the English name Bull Banksia.[1]

The tree typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 10 metres producing large yellow flower cones between September wer January. It has distinctive leaves with triangular shaped lobes that look like teeth.[3]

The Candle Banksia cones in particular were used to carry karla (fire) from camp to camp.[2]

The flowers are a source of nectar, which can be used to make a sweet drink.[3]
