Courtney Ugle is a Noongar woman and accomplished female footballer and mentor.
Early Life
editNoongar girl who grew up in Bunbury. During her childhood she travelled frequently between Bunbury and Beverley as her mum and dad had seperated.
Education
editIn 2009 Ugle was accepted into the Newton Moore Girls Academy in Bunbury. Ugle was also a School Based Trainee in which she completed in conjunction with BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina during year eleven and twelve. Ugle received a certificate II in Business Administration and graduated with Honours.
Career
editUgle is a Community Development Officer Trainee for V Swans, running After School Sports programmes in the local primary schools in the local area and providing clinics which involves all sports.
Sports Career
editIn 2012 Ugle was selected for the State WA U/16s School Girls team who travelled to Adelaide and the following year, selected for the 2013 State WA U/18s side who travelled to Melbourne. During this time she also representing the Academy in a Perth Showcase Basketball tournament and selected for the All Stars team 2011 and 2012, represented NMSH in Country Week in year 10, 11 and 12, and won Fairest and Best for the football team. representing Western Australia and the Swan Districts Football club.
In 2016 Ugle was selected to represent the Fremantle Dockers in the first ever AFL Derby at Domain Stadium.
