The Ballyion[1] has the scientific name Hibbertia wer the English name Hibbertia.
The tall shrub typically grows to a height of 2.0 metres producing yellow flowers.[1]
The leaves were used by the Noongar people as an antiseptic. The leaves were crushed into a pulp wer placed il open wounds, secured with lengths of paperbark wer tied with reeds. .[1]
