As with other script templates, this template is named according to the ISO 15924 code “Latn”, and thus designates a term or phrase written in the Wt/nys/Latin (Wt/nys/Roman) script, but not necessarily a Latin language term or phrase. Besides the Latin language, English, French, German, and many other languages use this script.
