Emu in the sky edit

Is this a Noongar constellation? Aarghdvaark (talk) 10:56, 22 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

"ngadja kadidjboort" is Noongar for "I don't know", so it seems a reasonable placeholder on this page in the proposed page name "ngadja kadidjboort - Emu in the sky". But don't create that page - sort out the placeholder first! Aarghdvaark (talk) 03:07, 23 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Southern Cross edit

What is the Noongar for this? Bernard Rooney in "The Nyoongar Legacy" says Mirrabooka means Southern Cross, possibly from an Eastern Australian dialect. Aarghdvaark (talk) 02:09, 23 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Similarily, this website Mooro Nyoongar Katitjin Bidi says: "Mirrabooka - Is the Aboriginal name for the ‘Southern Cross’ in a dialect that is not identified. It is not considered a Nyoongar placename". Aarghdvaark (talk) 07:09, 24 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Possibly 'Koodjal Koodjal Djookan' (four sisters) is the Southern Cross? But that doesn't tie in with the second story for the Southern Cross. At the moment these stories are cached at Wp/nys/Yogolarang - Pleiades as they went there by mistake and we don't have a story for Yogolarang. Aarghdvaark (talk) 07:31, 26 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
