Where does ⲕⲉϯⲙⲓⲛϩⲱⲣ come from? --ⲫⲁϯⲟⲩⲉⲣϣⲓ (talk) 12:55, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I don't know, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. I don't know if it is old, or more recent but formed by the local Coptic community, or invented by the author. ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ (talk) 15:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I don't quite understand the meaning as well. "The other Timinhor"? Doesn't make sense given the fact that there are at least 3 Damanhurs in Egypt. --ⲫⲁϯⲟⲩⲉⲣϣⲓ (talk) 18:33, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- If we translate it literally it'd suggest ⲡϯⲙⲓⲛϩⲱⲣ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ (or just ⲡϯⲙⲓⲛϩⲱⲣ ⲡⲓⲑⲏⲣⲓⲟⲛ? I'm not sure in this case). But if ⲕⲉϯⲙⲓⲛϩⲱⲣ is the name used by the local community we should use it as well. --ⲫⲁϯⲟⲩⲉⲣϣⲓ (talk) 22:44, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- I can't explain the al-Wahsh either. The literal meaning is clear, but "wild" is not a common part of place name. We can also use ϩⲱⲟⲩⲧ for wild. ⲁⲛⲉⲯⲓⲟⲩⲥⲓⲣⲓ (talk) 21:03, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
