I wonder if we could/should reconstruct names for people/places attested in Egyptian to their Coptic equivalents when it's possible. I can't do it myself so i'm asking for your opinion/help. So in this article we have:
- Philistines - attested as Prst/Pw-r-s-t and Prwsṯ / Pw-r-s3-ṯ
- Ashkelon - jsq3rny
Thank you. ⲡⲁⲣⲇⲁ (talk) 00:39, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not the right person to address but I think the Egyptian word for Gaza should be written with an ω instead of an ο. Ψενανουβισ (talk) 21:20, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
I will try to find their Coptic equivalents! And yeah, it is ⲕⲁϫⲱⲧ because of the long a in an open syllable in Hieroglyphic Egyptian. ⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ (talk) 04:11, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
