Description
English: Necleetsconnay River and the south side of Bella Coola valley, from on the bridge at Bella Coola, that is from the north. The river bends sharply to the right and empties into North Bentinck Arm, about a mile from here. It is obstructed by its gravel deposit and snags and is overflowing to the left. Note the size of the cottonwood, red cedar, Sitka Spruce, and hemlock trees. The glacier in the valley at right of the centre lies south of the Clayton farm and the Bella Coola villages. Note the strata of the cloud bank frequently seen and the snow on the mountains present throughout the year. When it rained in the valley, Aug. 26th, a fresh snowfall was added on the peaks.
