Bahasa Indonesia: Kuwah Pliek U merupakan panganan khas Aceh yang bahan dasar kuahnya adalah Pliek U (Patarana), Tampilan Kuwah Pliek U sekilas mirip dengan gulai, namun isinya adalah campuran sayuran yang umumnya tumbuh dekat dengan masyarakat seperti buah dan daun melinjo, rimbang, kacang panjang,rebung kecombrang, sereh, hingga tunas jagung muda. Di beberapa daerah seperti Aceh Timur, Lhokseumawe, dan Aceh Utara, kita dapat menemukan Kuwah Pliek U yang menyertakan udang dalam campuran isinya. Kekentalan kuahnya dipengaruhi oleh kadar Pliek U yang dipakai, dan biasanya hidangan ini disantap bersama nasi yang mengepul hangat.
Meski dikonsumsi sebagai panganan harian, menu Kuwah Pliek U juga sering dan masih jadi hidangan primadona dalam sejumlah perayaan adat dan kebudayaan Aceh. |
