Summary
| Description |
Fresh water flows into a ravine surrounded by woodlands. Waters spill from the top of Mt. Asogairin-zan. Kikuchi Valley was named after the Kikuchi baronial family, which was prosperous from the late 12th century to the late 14th century, and developed as a castle town with farming and forestry as the main industries. The cool water originating in the subsoil water from Mt. Asogairin-zan has been designated as one of 100 best waters in Japan.
