Description The following is the author's description of the photograph quoted directly from the photograph's Flickr page.
"Behind the buildings in Constitution Square, an area known as "Ceaushima" (Ceausescu Hiroshima), because of the massive demolition program communist authorities conducted to make place for their cyclopean buildings: "Casa poporului" , currently the House of Parliament, and the public office buildings surrounding it.
It is said that 25% of Bucharest was raised to the ground by Ceasescu's order, which equated to an atomic bomb dropped on the city. "
